After a week, i finally have a minute to post my BAC feedback. The show went great, insanely busy. Left by train Saturday morn on virtually no sleep, did the show through 4 pm, then had dinner with my friend Dan (who was kind enough to let my son and I stay at his place uptown), and then slept 12 hours and did a full day at the show on Sunday! At least 100 more people are now in possession of COS and I got to meet one of my idols and one of the reasons why I’m doing comics today – Rich Buckler Sr. A very nice guy and incredible talent. My son Jonathan, 12, an incredible talent himself, stole some of my thunder as he sat and made his own drawings, impressing the crowd, and even selling one of his own drawings while there! He’s hooked!
I WILL be attending The Big Apple Con in less than 2 weeks, November 19 & 20, from 10am – 4pm. Come on down and see me, I’ll be doing sketches cheap, selling original art and some beautiful 13 x 19″ prints of some of my more popular commission pieces. I’ll have copies of my debut penciling gig – Carnival Of Souls available as well as the companion rock CD by the same name by my buddy Jazan Wild. CD’s are only $10 and are enhanced with a digital version of the original square format Carnival of Souls comic.
Kevin contributes to various DC and Image properties, while finding more and more penciling projects along the way with independent companies and his commission work. It seems Kevin has come full circle with a small resurgence in the commercial art field from agencies around the nation finding his comic illustration a viable commodity.
